Simon Robinson has 16 years experience in telecommunications, mobile internet and computer gaming and was a co-founder of Genie Internet, the world’s first mobile internet portal. At BT Cellnet (now O2) he played a key role in developing new standards for smart phones, SIM cards and electronic banking, and developed partnerships with global entertainment companies including MTV, EMI, Endemol (Big Brother), Electronic Arts, Disney, Sky and Mirror Group.
He lives in São Paulo, Brazil where he is a consultant and lecturer in chaos and complexity theory, sustainability, innovation and creativity. He is the editor of the blog , a theme which runs through all his work, helping business leaders, executives and practitioners to develop a more dynamic way of thinking, inspired by organic systems found in nature, the science of Goethe and the phenomenological philosophy of Henri Bortoft, enabling a more profound way of knowing the world and problem solving.
He is particularly interested in how the study of nature can inspire us to change our mental models which shape how we see the world, moving us from an egocentric to an eco-centric worldview.
