Dr. Michael Edwards is an environmental educator and musician who has worked in many different geographical and cultural settings to create a varied and slightly unorthodox career.
Michael is passionate about the environment and has, since leaving academia, worked on a variety of initiatives which aim to raise awareness of environmental issues. Michael has, in the past, worked with the UK Government to raise public awareness of the enhanced anthropogenic greenhouse effect and has published on climate change and other environmental issues (his work on Pacific islands has been referenced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)).
Michael is passionate about melding the arts and sciences and has been involved in organising Aboriginal Art exhibitions which have helped raise awareness of Aboriginal land rights in northern Australia.
Michael is a highly accomplished Yidaki (didgeridoo) player and is the founding member of Didjitalis. Michael is currently working with The BRAVE Collaboration to champion the importance of visionary thinking around sustainability.
